Yesterday I saw a short animated film called Imaging Torah, by Jeremy Kagan with music by Yuval Ron. This was an attempt to communicate the whole content of the Torah, the Pentateuch, through about 70-100 drawings by the film-maker, Kagan, with transitions made by AI and music composed by Yuval Ron. The music is basically a choral rendition of the narration aided by 6 exotic instruments, including the ud, which Yuval Ron plays. If you get a chance to see it, I recommend you do, because it is a very interesting film. It actually bears watching, actually, requires watching, more than once as you will not be able to absorb all the material when you watch it the first time. If you are familiar with the Torah, that will help. However, if you are not,the film might ignite your curiosity over many of the things that are portrayed in this Biblical rendition. It is definitely food for thought and a window at a specific use of AI. Congratulations, Jeremy and Yuval, for your innovative film. And thank you for not treating your audience condescendingly, but giving us something to reflect on and to talk about.
