My Story Continues...
It took me about a year and a half to prepare this recording. I had neglected the piano in order to compose for the past few years and the piano wasn’t happy with me, so it demanded a lot of work of me to get back in playing shape.
The recording was done in July, the CD came out in October with a recital in the same Zipper Hall. It was very well received. The next project was finishing my piano concerto.I had started taking conducting lessons with conductor Brad Keimach in Los Angeles and he encouraged me to let my imagination fly. And so I did. I finished it and sent it to erm records, which was holding a contest to record new orchestral works. I was told that my work and that of other 15 composers was selected from a field of around 300 and that it would be recorded in Kiev, in October on 2006. And so it was.
